Who are we
The NLIGS is a friendly Golf Society established in 1977 with members ranging from low to high handicap players who enjoy a game of golf and get together afterwards with a meal and a bit of craic.
Each year, normally starting in March, we will have 5 to 7 outings, all golf courses in and around the North London/Hertfordshire area.
All individual outings at present are played Stapleford full handicaps to max of 24, with prizes presented on the day. Handicaps are adjusted by our Handicap secretary after each outing when required.
The NLIGS is also a member of The Union of Irish Golf Societies which organises matches and competitions against other societies throughout the year of which you may be interested in participating.
The majority of our outings are kindly sponsored by different members of the society or the society itself. If you would be interested in sponsoring an outing please contact the Secretary.
The NLIGS annual membership subscription is £25 and normally collected at your first outing.
As well as prizes awarded on the day, presented by the Sponsor, the top 5 scores from all outings will be added together so you can compete for Champion Golfer of the Year.
